The details of our annual trip to Snowdonia are provided below.

Cost: £33 full price, or £25 for concessions (not including transport)
This is approximate and covers food, accommodation & electricity.

Friday:
Arrive late on Friday (no evening meal provided).

Saturday:
1.  Morning prayers, & cooked English breakfast
2.  Prepare sandwiches
3.  Midday - walk to the summit of Mt Snowdon and back.  If you’re lazy you can get the steam train!
4.  Return from walk around 6pm, free time
5.  8pm dinner
6.  Entertainments / free time
7.  Evening prayers
 
Sunday:
1.  8:30am pack up, & pre-communion prayers
2.  10:30am Liturgy at Blaenau Ffestiniog
3.  Lunch & free time with Father Deiniol
4.  Departures around 4pm

Sleeping arrangements:
We will be staying in a 150yr old cottage at the foot of Mount Snowdon.  It is in a beautiful spot right at the start of the mountain trail but luxury it is not (log fires rather than central heating).  There are 12 beds and several mattresses on the floor.
 
What you need to bring:
•  A sleeping bag (ESSENTIAL!) - ensure you have one before the trip!
•  Pillow case
•  Towel
•  If you feel the cold, an extra blanket, extra clothes (vests, leggings, woollen jumpers) and a hot water bottle.
•  Walking boots
•  Waterproofs (Wales can be wet!)
•  Hat, gloves etc.
•  Some people will need to bring a tea towel for plates as well
•  Some snacks to share (there will be a prize for the best baked cake)
•  Musical instruments, games for entertainment etc.
•  Torch might be useful

2.    Tell us: a) your mobile number
                  b) any diet restrictions
                  c) if you need or can offer a lift
3.    Volunteer for: a) purchase of food (cost will be reimbursed)

    Who are We?

    A group of young (18-35ish) Orthodox Christians who meet throughout the year for prayer and fellowship in order to better know our Faith and each other. We organise many different events throughout the year so that everyone can be involved.

    Events are organised by the OFSJB Youth Committee, part of the Orthodox Fellowship of St John the Baptist (OFSJB).
