Summer Conference 2011
Orthodox Witness Today
Held on 22nd - 24th July 2011 at High Leigh Conference Centre Hertfordshire the conference looked at the subject of Orthodox Witness; how the Church responds to the challenges of the modern world both as a body and in our personal life. The speakers presented a theological background to the topic, as well as testimony of the experience.
Key speakers:
Metropolitan Kalistos (Ware) of Diokleia is a titular metropolitan of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Great Britain
Father Ioan Sauca Director of the World Council of Churches’ Ecumenical Institute at Bossey (Switzerland).
Alexander Ogorodnikov Former chairman of the Russian Orthodox Argentov Seminar, survivor of the gulag prisons, peace activist, and founder of several Russian humanitarian organizations,
