We are really excited to be running our second hiking trip this year in the beautiful Lake District. We will start in Ambleside (home of Beatrix Potter) for our 15km hike and spend the night in the local YHA. On Sunday we will head to the Orthodox parish in Keswick for the liturgy and join them for lunch.

Join us again for another year of amazing festivities, fellowship, prayer, and talks. We have an international selection of speakers from many different backgrounds visiting us throughout the weekend including our beloved Metropolitan Kallistos, clergy from Orthodox parishes all over the UK and abroad, youth workers, old friends, and Anna Wedlock a multi award winning storyteller. All here to help us explore this year's theme and to answer our many burning questions. This year will also see the return of our ever popular 'hot potato' sessions, along with walks in the surrounding countryside, singing, games, bonfires, and much more. We hope to welcome participants from the UK, Europe, and beyond. Make sure to visit the Youth Festival Information page to familiarise yourself with what to expect and how to prepare. Apply now, as places are limited. We now accept online payments! Feel free to contact us with any and all questions at ofsjbyouthuk@gmail.com
or join the conversation on our Facebook group The next Orthodox Youth Festival will be... Location: St Mark's College, Saffron Walden, Essex, CB11 4JD, UK Dates: Friday 4th - Monday 7th May 2018 Theme and speakers to be confirmed. The Youth Festival is an annual event for young adults from around the world, and provides a forum for young people to learn and ask questions about their Orthodox Christian faith. Each year there are talks given by clergy of the Orthodox Church relating to a specific yearly theme that aim to teach us about our Orthodox faith, and also discussion groups and workshops covering topics of importance to our daily lives. In addition, there will be a daily cycle of morning and evening prayers, chances to socialize and talk with other participants and clergy, walks in the local countryside, activities, workshops, and games together. The Festival is open and relevant to Orthodox Christians between 18-35 years of age and also to those interested in finding out more about the Orthodox Christian faith. This long weekend is a great way to meet and make new friends, and is not to be missed! In the past, the Festival has also attracted people from abroad: including Scotland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Greece, Romania, The Netherlands, Russia, America, Canada, Hungary, Cyprus, Iceland, and even as far as Australia. Stay in touch with us as we release more details about the Festival, and to hear about the latest events near you!
